Certifications & Compliance
Food-safety, compostability and quality assurance behind every product we ship. Full certificates and test reports are available to buyers on request.
In international B2B packaging trade, certification is the language of trust. Importers, foodservice chains and retailers must verify that every disposable product entering their market meets food-contact, compostability and quality-management standards. A missing document can delay customs, stall a product launch or block a tender.
At BagassePack Co., every product line is validated against globally recognized certifications and third-party test reports — covering our bagasse tableware, paper cups & bowls, biodegradable cutlery and cornstarch containers.
Food Contact Safety
Confirming that materials which touch food are safe, non-toxic and compliant for their intended use.
- FDA 21 CFR — food-contact compliance for materials used in US markets
- EC No 1935/2004 — EU framework for materials intended for food contact
- EU No 10/2011 — EU limits and safety for food-contact materials
- LFGB — German Food & Commodities Act safety
- Declaration of Conformity — product-level EU food-contact statement
Compostability & Biodegradability
Confirming that products break down into organic matter within set timeframes under specific conditions, leaving no plastic residue.
- OK compost HOME (TÜV Austria) — home and garden composting
- BPI (USA) — industrial composting under ASTM D6400
- DIN EN 13432 (EU) — industrial composting, Seedling mark
- ASTM D6400 (USA) — industrial composting standard
- AS 5810 (Australia) — home composting standard
Buyers selling into the EU should prioritize OK compost HOME and DIN EN 13432; US buyers look for BPI under ASTM D6400; Australian retail often requires AS 5810. We hold the relevant certifications for each market.
Quality & Management Systems
- ISO 9001 — quality management, the baseline most serious buyers require
- BRCGS — global packaging safety & quality, often a gatekeeper for retail tenders
- BSCI — business social compliance audit for labour and ethics
Supporting Test Reports
- PFAS / PFOA / PFOS-free test report covering our bagasse and paper lines
- MSDS for bagasse, paper, cornstarch and PLA materials
- FDA 21 CFR 176.170 migration test where required
- Technical data sheets for performance specifications
PFAS-Free & Coating Transparency
Many bagasse products rely on PFAS coatings for oil resistance, but EU and US regulations are tightening around PFAS. Our standard bagasse range is PFAS-free, with water and oil repellency built into the pulp. For markets that need maximum oil-proof performance we also offer PFAS-coated options on request. We are transparent about which chemistry each product carries so you can choose the right fit for your market.
How to Get Certificates
All certificates and test reports are issued to the buyer with your order, or shared on request before purchase. Contact us with your product range and destination market and we will send the relevant documentation package. Contact us for certificates or view our product range.
